Setup

Prerequisites

  • Node.js 18 or higher
  • npm or yarn package manager

Installation

  1. Install dependencies:
npm install
  1. Build the project:
npm run build
  1. Run the server:
npm start

Development

For development with automatic rebuilding:

npm run dev

To clean the build directory:

npm run clean

To rebuild from scratch:

npm run rebuild

Configuration

The system uses environment variables for configuration. All sensitive credentials should be stored in environment files and never committed to the repository.

Environment Setup

  1. Backend (MCP Server):

    cp .env.example .env
    # Edit .env with your API credentials

  2. Frontend (Next.js):

    cd atlas-frontend
    cp .env.local.example .env.local
    # Add your OpenAI API key and other config

Authentication

The server handles OAuth2 authentication automatically using the client credentials flow. Access tokens are automatically refreshed before expiration.

Frontend Deployment

The atlas-frontend directory contains a Next.js application that provides a modern web interface for chamber management.

cd atlas-frontend
npm install
npm run dev
