Neon Punk Record is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server designed to provide AI assistants with persistent, searchable memory across conversations and workspaces.
Neon Punk Record
A Model Context Protocol (MCP) server inspired by "Punk Records" from One Piece manga - your AI's persistent memory system.
🎯 Project Vision
Neon Punk Record is an MCP server that provides AI assistants with persistent, searchable memory across conversations and workspaces. Just like Punk Records in One Piece store and retrieve information, this tool allows AI to remember context, decisions, and knowledge across sessions.
🧠 Core Concept
The system organizes memories using a hierarchical structure:
- Workspace (Rank 1): Unique project/domain identifier
- Context: Specific situation or topic within a workspace
- Memory: The actual content/knowledge to persist
✨ Key Features
- Workspace-based Organization: Isolate memories by project/domain
- Contextual Search: Find relevant memories based on context
- PostgreSQL + Full-Text Search: Leveraging PostgreSQL's built-in search capabilities
- MCP Protocol: Standard interface for AI tool integration
- Granular Search: Multiple search strategies (all, by-workspace, by-context)
🚀 Use Cases
- Cross-session Context: AI remembers previous discussions within a project
- Knowledge Base: Store project-specific decisions, patterns, and insights
- Multi-project Memory: Separate memories for different workspaces
- Semantic Retrieval: Find related information even with different wording

🎭 Why "Punk Record"?
Inspired by the One Piece manga's Punk Records - a system that stores and shares knowledge across networked brains. Similarly, this tool creates a persistent knowledge layer for AI assistants.
