This project provides an MCP server that enables AI agents to interact with the Investec Open Banking API. It follows the best practices laid out by Anthropic for building MCP servers, allowing seamless integration with any MCP-compatible client like Claude. The server offers a comprehensive suite of banking tools, including account information retrieval, profile management, beneficiary management, and transaction capabilities. It is designed to be run either as a standalone Python application or within a Docker container, providing flexibility in deployment. The server requires Python 3.12+, an Investec Developer account with API credentials, and optionally Docker for containerized deployment. Configuration is managed through environment variables, ensuring secure handling of sensitive information.
