MCP project to connect Claude with Spotify, built on top of spotipy-dev's API.

The Spotify-MCP server is designed to integrate Claude with Spotify, leveraging the Spotipy API to provide seamless control over Spotify's playback features. This server allows users to manage their Spotify experience directly through Claude, offering functionalities such as starting, pausing, and skipping tracks, searching for music, and managing the playback queue. The server is configured to run locally and requires Spotify API credentials for operation. It is not yet optimized for ephemeral environments but can be installed and run using Smithery for Claude Desktop. The project is open to contributions and aims to expand its feature set despite recent deprecations in Spotify's API.
