The ACP to MCP Adapter is a lightweight server that bridges the Agent Communication Protocol (ACP) and Model Context Protocol (MCP) ecosystems, enabling seamless interaction between ACP agents and MCP applications.

The ACP to MCP Adapter serves as a bridge between two AI ecosystems: the Agent Communication Protocol (ACP) and the Model Context Protocol (MCP). It allows MCP applications, such as Claude Desktop, to discover and interact with ACP agents as resources. This adapter is designed to enable interoperability between ACP and MCP with minimal configuration, making ACP agents discoverable as MCP resources and exposing ACP agent runs as MCP tools. However, it comes with certain limitations, such as ACP agents becoming MCP tools instead of conversational peers, no streaming of incremental updates, no shared memory across servers, and basic content translation without support for complex data structures. The adapter is ideal for scenarios where ACP agents need to be integrated into MCP environments, accepting these tradeoffs.
