This repository contains an implementation of a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server.

The Model Context Protocol (MCP) server is designed to standardize how applications provide context to Large Language Models (LLMs). It acts as a bridge, allowing AI models to connect seamlessly to various data sources and tools, much like a USB-C port for AI applications. The MCP server can search the latest documentation for a given query and library, supporting platforms like langchain, openai, and llama-index. It follows a client-server architecture, where MCP hosts, clients, and servers interact with data sources to provide resources, tools, and prompts. The server is lightweight and exposes specific capabilities through the standardized protocol, ensuring flexibility and security in data handling. The system requires Python 3.10 or higher, MCP SDK 1.2.0 or higher, and the 'uv' package manager for setup and operation.

Features

  • Standardized protocol for connecting AI models to data sources
  • Supports langchain, openai, and llama-index
  • Client-server architecture for flexible integration
  • Provides resources, tools, and prompts for LLMs
  • Ensures data security and flexibility in switching LLM providers
