This document provides a setup and usage guide for the Ableton-Vibe MCP server, which integrates with Ableton Live to automate tasks using the Model Context Protocol.

The Ableton-Vibe MCP server is designed to interface with Ableton Live, allowing users to automate tasks and control the software programmatically. By leveraging the Model Context Protocol (MCP), this server facilitates communication between Ableton Live and external scripts, enabling users to create MIDI tracks and add devices to their Ableton set. The server is primarily tested on macOS with Ableton 11, and it requires specific setup steps, including installing dependencies and configuring the MCP server in Claude's configuration file. The server is still in development, with plans to expand its capabilities, including support for Ableton 12, additional operating systems, and voice control.
